my preciousssss....

OK... So my blog has been collecting dust yet again, and this time shzeli's the one asking me to update. Hurhur. Besides, I helped somebody set up a blog last night, and I beh tahan that I myself haven't blogged in so long. :P So erm.... shzeli's tag is too hard to do now, because I HAVE NO FRIKKIN' PICTURES. I don't take a lot of pics k, so that tag is gonna wait until i painstakingly korek some pics that actually fulfill the requirements of the tag. =.= So now, I'm just going to blog about some of my precioussssss possessions that I have acquired recently.... *g*

First of all....

AHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! MY KIPLING BAG!!! AHAHAHAHAHA!!! My Kipling bag all the way from Buckinghamshire, UK!!! Heeeeeee!! I bought this on eBay, and er.... this is not exactly the bag that I ordered, the bag I ordered was this one:

...but the seller sent the model on top to me. yish. And it costs too much to reject it and send it back 'coz the shipping cost is about 10 pounds, or RM70 omg. So.... since the difference is not that drastic and it's nice anyway, I'm keeping it ;) AHAHAHAHAHAHA!
Meet the monkey:

Her name is Carola! *g*

Next up, is a pair of Harry Potter and Hermione Granger Lego key chains that I got from Gardens Midvalley. I can't resist, they just called out to me... hahaha.... I'm letting my sis have Hermione if she wants it.... yish why I so good eh.... kekekeke....

And now for other Harry Potter-related merchandise... I got this snowy owl Beanie Baby at Borders last month. It's Harry's (sadly deceased) pet owl Hedwig! So cute!!

And I also got a Sesame Street t-shirt at Gardens with Oscar the Grouch on it :) The box is super cute too... can't bear to throw it away.... hehehehe...

Aaaaannnnndddd.... one of my most prized, precioussssss possessions evah.....

PRISON BREAK SEASON 1 ORIGINAL DVD SET!!! AHAHAHAHA!!! Now I get to watch my future husband Wentworth Miller in wonderful hi-def.... *swoon* heehee...

OK... that's about all for now... Oh oh oh, before I forget... all the pictures above ('cept the 2nd one) were taken using my brand new camera my dad bought for me:

Canon IXUS 70!! Yay!! hahahahaha...

Ooo... My blog has been collecting dust for almost 2 months now =P *blows off dust*
Life's been good 'coz I've been sleeping, watching TV, eating, and sleeping nicely at home for over 3 weeks, and recently I reinstalled my beloved all-time favourite game The Sims 2 on my lappy (after clearing about 40GBs worth of junk omg). fresh is 20

Ta-dah! I have officially joined the 20's club, as Mich puts it :D

So today I got a lil' surprise party from the Penang peeps and other classmates. So nice of them.... I feel all warm and fuzzy inside. XD

Ohya... The 2007 Fresh!Oscar for best actress goes to my beloved mistress Sharon, coz she managed to get me to college 10 minutes earlier for my lil' party without me suspecting anything at all. hahaha... Totally blindsided, I was. What happened:
1325 - Sharon's SMS: beloved slave, i need ur help in designing thank you kit layout (fresh's note: for the event we organised!), shall we meet at coll hall at 3.50 pm? really need ur help
1327 - fresh's SMS: (*omg... why do I have neverending work... sien...*) Okok...
1550 - Sharon seriously asks fresh about anything that should go in a thank you kit.
1600 - Sharon goes with fresh to class..... and walks right past our classroom to another classroom. fresh: *wtf changed classes?* opens door.... "HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU...." fresh: ?!?!

Hahaha... So here's a pic of all my lurvely coursemates who turned up for cake to celebrate:

from left: koon wai, chai ching, chai teng, staphy, ker chiat, kian phin@ah bird, ME, piah lai, ee lin, pinkee, lydia, jin rou, see yun, cui fen, linda (in black), beloved mistress sharon (cake!), & siew ting. i heart u guyz!!

Haih... I forgot to take a pic of my cake before it was demolished. Very nice cake with lots of peaches on top that made Staphy go nuts..... plus strawberries!! Yay!!

And these are the prezzies that they gave me:

New clothes yay. XD

And my lurvely housemates got me this:

Squishable & furry cushionpet yay. XD

And.... that's it for my birthday. Spent a whole lotta time at home sleeping. Ah... I'm so happening. :P

Thanks so much, all of youuuu... it was really a nice surprise and finally I feel like I belong here. :D *does the happydance*

Woooooo..... my birthday's almost over. Still have stuff to blog about the event, but that's for another day. hehe...

i'm free!!!

People of the world (or anyone who cares), I have an announcement to make: I AM FREEEEEEE!!!

... for maybe 1 1/2 weeks anyway. Then it's exam time. *sigh* I would have made this announcement earlier, except yesterday night I was busy celebrating my newfound freedom from assignments and event stuff by - what else - sleeping... for almost 12 hours (with a 4 hour break in between). Yeah... one of my favourite activities in the whole world. XD

So now I'm happy because:
- my assignments/projects are all gone
- my assignments actually got unexpectedly good grades!! w00t!! so much for all the hair-pulling and head-banging and whatnot...
- it's my birthday!! wheeeee!!
- i have friends who send me birthday wishes!! and blog to wish me happy birthday (muackzzz to jovial!!) wheeee!!

Hahahaha... I sound like such a juvenile little kid. Oh well. This is the last birthday that i can't officially call myself an adult yet... so yeah, I'll be childish and hyper for a little while more. XD

Anyway, thanks loads & loads to all my friends who have wished me happy birthday so far, you guys really make my day. I think I've a lot of stuff that I haven't had time to blog about, but that'll have to wait coz it's 3.53 a.m. now. Back to sleep I go....

tag 2 of 2

Since this is a Friday night and I am so not in the mood to start cracking on my celaka assignments, I guess I'll just do this tag that I've been putting off for ages in the hopes that Mich forgot about it...

Er... this story isn't exactly about the crush, but more like, related to it... but since you didn't want something on *ahem* the one i asked u about last time Michie, didn't leave me with much to write about... =.= hehehe... Anyway...

Rules: For those who have been tagged, you are required to write a story about one of your crushes, be it a current or previous crush. To be exactly different from the common tags, there is no questions imposed this time. All you have to do is to write a story about him/her. Also, five persons will need to be tagged at the end of the post. You must post up these rules before you start writing.

OK, here goes nothing...

Once upon a time, frEsh fell for a guy whom she never expected to have feelings for. This guy shall henceforth be referred to as The Guy in this story. The Guy could make frEsh happy with just a call or an SMS, as long as frEsh knew he was there, she was happy.

So anyway, from the moment frEsh knew that she had a crush on The Guy, she knew that as always, the chances that this crush would end up in a happy ending was about as good as the chances of her marrying Wentworth Miller. Therefore, frEsh always tried to hide her feelings and prepared herself for the inevitable sadness that would come sooner or later, for one reason or another.

Unfortunately for frEsh, that sadness came soon. One night, frEsh was chatting on MSN when she found out that The Guy still had feelings for someone he was briefly involved with quite a long time ago. And to make things worse, that someone was one of frEsh's friends, someone whom frEsh was close with. Not only that, when frEsh got to know about this situation, she also got to know some things that The Guy had said to her friend, all of which were very touching (er... not to frEsh of course).

When frEsh heard about that, she suddenly cracked, and was very surprised to find herself crying. Yah, crying, which says a lot because frEsh usually has a heart of stone; it was the first time ever frEsh cried because of a guy. =.= frEsh didn't know exactly why she was crying, since she already knew she had no chance with The Guy. Still, she was really depressed and was desperate for someone to talk to, (someone who would understand and was still awake) so she called one of her best friends, at 2 am in the morning. The best friend was also taken aback when she heard frEsh's cacat-ed voice over the phone, and proceeded to comfort/counsel the blubbering frEsh. 20 minutes and 7 pieces of tissue later, frEsh had calmed down enough to let her best friend go to sleep, but was still in a state of extreme depression. Therefore, frEsh didn't dare to sleep because she knew that she'd keep thinking depressing thoughts before she fell asleep and cry again... and finally went to sleep after 4 am.

And so it goes...

The end. And... I tag no one because I'm not so evil. Heh.

070707 convocation

Yeah, this is a really late post, I know. So much for timeliness. :P I am a self-proclaimed lazy lump of fat, so there. XD Besides, the thought of uploading all those convo photos on my god-forsaken connection is just.... haih... Now that I've gone through a convo myself, I can say for sure that the most fun part is the pics after the ceremony. hehe.

So anyway, here are my convo photos... I think it's the first time i camwhored so much in a single day. I don't usually like to keep memories of my ugly mug. Ahahaha....

Class photo... as complete as possible anyway... =.=

The 4-in-1 pic as mentioned by Michelle... hehehe...

Me, Peng & Khai Ling... (beh tong with Peng's height)

Miss Mah!! The best lecturer we had and will ever have... *sniff sniff*

Me & Pinkee...

Ooh, here's me with Jimmy, the most "famous" graduate of them all... ahahahaha...

Me & Staphy... the crazy who keeps me entertained now that Peng's not around... hehehe...

Me & Wern Yik...

... and me with Wilson! (Jealous, Peng? Hahahahaha...) I'm so geram but tickled about the fact that even though I was wearing high heels, he had to bend down to take this photo with me. =.= Hehehe...

*sigh* I still can't really believe that I've already graduated with a diploma, the past 2 years really flew by, as cliched as that sounds. Now that even the convocation's gone, I no longer have any legitimate reason to go back to the old college to hang out. :( Life was really better back then. Not that my college now is that terrible or anything... but the surrounding people really make a difference in the college life. I really miss my old gang leh. *sobsob*

I forgot to bring my purple convo bear back lah. Gotta bring it back when I go back to Penang next week 'coz I'm hoping that it'll inspire me to slug this Adv Dip out when I see it. Anyway, all the best to er.... anyone I know that graduated/is graduating!

i'm back!

Wheeeee! At last, I'm finally back in Penang!! w00t!!

Ahh... Yah, it's unusual for me to be so hyper, but it's just so nice to be home, where all my favourite cushiony things are. And where my dear 29" TV is. And where everyone speaks Hokkien around here. And where all the great food is. Wheeeee!!

Unfortunately, I'm gonna have to go back after just 3 days. *sob* Oh well... Guess I'd better get used to that sucky reality.

I should go to sleep now. Gotta conserve energy for muh friends tomorrow (and the convo too)... hehehe.

tag 1 of 2

Argh~~ I've just been tagged by 2 friends at the same time. Such good luck huh. Uh... Because I have class tomorrow and I so need my beauty sleep, I'll just do the tag that I think is easier to do now. Hehe. This is my tag from my long-time-no-see friend Xin Yun...

1. Colour of most of the clothes you own?
Um... Well, most of the clothes I wear to college now are brown or green. I feel like a tree.

2. Number of pillows you sleep with?
Just 1. Wish I had more though. :D

3. Where are you right now?
In my tiny room. Paris Hilton has a bigger jail cell than me, for goodness' sake.

4. What were you doing at 12 am last night?
Aimlessly surfing the net, I think.

5. How old will you be in 10 years?
30 years old. Man I'm old.

6. What do you think you'll be doing in 15 years?
I seriously have no idea at all. Hopefully not being someone's mom. Ugh.

Nah... too poor. I'll live with my crooked teeth.

8. Are you paranoid?
Totally. May or may not be obvious though. Hehehe...

9. Describe your wallet?
Black with multi-coloured polka dots on the outside, shocking pink on the inside. I totally luvs it. :D

10. Your alarm clock?
My SE W800i.

11. Your hair?
Long, slightly brownish and straightened. A blah hairstyle for a blah person.

12. Toothbrush?
Uh... Currently using a blue Colgate one.

13. What color are your eyes?
Dark brown.

14. Unforgettable enemy?
Hmm... I don't think anyone really has the honour of being my enemy so far. Heehee.

15. First play/musical/performance?
No memory of what it was about, I just know I was about.... 4 years old, in kindy.

16. Last movie seen in cinema?
Shrek 3, which I watched about 5 hours ago. Not that bad lah.

17. Last person you yelled at?
Hahahaha.... Let's see... I think that would be my sis, through the phone.

24. What was the last song you heard?
Tu Amor, by RBD. Dunno why, but I'm slightly obsessed with this song now.

25. What is about the opposite sex?
I can't read them to save my pathetic life. And I somehow almost always end up like some kind of 'big sis' figure to them. And that is why I never have guys treating me like girlfriend material. Sad, no?

26. What do you want to do now?
Finish this tag and go to sleep.

27. What's the first thing you ate this morning?
A few biscuits.

28. What's the one song you never get over?
Justin Timberlake's My Love!!! No matter how many times I listen to this song, I never get tired of it. It always makes me happy, especially if it comes together with the video. I absolutely luuuurve his dance moves in the video. XD

30. Fav day of the week?
Er.... Friday?

Ehh wait. Why is the question 29 missing? Let me add lah.
29. Who's your favourite idol at the moment?
Wentworth Miller!! Wentworth Miller!!! He's freakin' hot, totally smart, absolutely hot, awesomely talented, and totally hot. XD Looky looky:

Yalah, I just wanna have an excuse to post a pic of him up. XP But he's so yeng wor... *swoon*

Phew... That concludes this tag. And now... I would like to tag Mich, Rei and Froggy. Y'all are the rare type of people among my blog friends who actually do tags leh. Hehehe.

getting used to kl

W00t! Last time I blogged was.... April 20! No blogging for the entire month of May, what a long break from blogging eh... Not that anyone really cares, I think.... :P

Erm.... So now I'm in the wonderfully rainy (seriously, the lightning bolts around here are up-close and scary), polluted and isolated place called Setapak, where I will be spending the next 2 years of my life. Lovely. I've been here just over 2 weeks now, (complete with not entirely satisfactory Internet access for 1 week) and I'm boooored out of my mind. And lonely too. I never thought I'd say it, but I actually need human contact. Shocking. I used to think I was some cold fish who could survive on just an Internet connection. And because of that, almost half of my time here has been spent at my friends' house, where people curse and yell every 5 minutes. Also, for the past 2 weeks, various people in Penang, PJ and Setapak have been receiving my phone calls with me wailing about how bored I am. Heh. My dad's going to be so thrilled when he gets the phone bill this month. :P

I miss my friends. I miss my family *gasp*. I miss the Penang TARC. I miss the lecturers there. I miss Penang food. I miss friggin' PENANG. Aaargghh..... Coming here has made frEsh mushy, which is unheard of, and not good. Everything here is so..... blah. How do KL people live?! How do you eat around here?? Man, I finally understand why Penang food (and Penang itself) is so hyped up.

All my good friends... michie~~~ peng~~~ josephine~~~ shzeli~~~ I miss you all sooooo much... hehehehe... Life is so boring around here without all of you, especially loonies like peng... XD People are so... reserved around here. Wonder why? And before any of you start, no crap about me not going to UTAR, k?! I would still be bored as hell at home ('coz none of you could be roomies with me), and besides, I still have friends here, k. :D And soon I will be going to UK to snag a rich and handsome ang moh. HAHAHAHA.

Oh well. I'm more or less accustomed to this place by now, just the boredom and loneliness remains. I guess I'd better stop moaning and get back to thinking about what topic I'm gonna do for my forkin' 50-70 page mini thesis. Inspiration, where are you when I need you?

the end

Well, today was the last day of my diploma course. Whew. Can't believe it - 2 years just whooshed by like that. I didn't really have that kind of 'last day' feeling that I got when I was in Form 5. Maybe it's because we're planning to have a proper 'celebration' after the exams, so this isn't really the last day.

Nothing much happened anyway. Took photos, laughed, ran around... and many of my TARC friends on MSN have the same sort of personal message: "last day!!!", "i will miss all of you oOoo...", "finally!!", etc, etc. I kinda like this photo that I grabbed from Aimee:

It shows our true nature: we are mou liu. Ahahaha... And it shows Jimmy's new shoes, whom unfortunately nobody got to step on. Oh well. There'll be other opportunities... XD

I just found out that I am worth 1,501,042 USD. That equals to roughly RM 5,253,647. Huh. Not bad. I always thought I could be dilelongkan at a pasar malam for about RM 100. How much are you worth?

hannibal rising

On Wednesday, I went for one of my last (or maybe the last) movie trips with my present gang. *sigh...* And we watched Hannibal Rising, one of the most seriously scary of horror movies I have watched. *shivers in terror* Really. I spent about two-thirds of the movie looking like this:

Yes, I was a total wuss, which doesn't happen often. I am paiseh.

The good thing about Hannibal Rising is that it has a more solid plot compared to most horror movies where lots of people scream and get slashed, considering it's based on a book. Not that the plot's perfect, though. The movie doesn't show specifically what made Hannibal a cannibal - was it his accidental eating of his sister (ew gross) or was it just sort of born from revenge? And what exactly made him become a person who can't tolerate rudeness or discourtesy, and kills people over it?

Fortunately, Hannibal Rising doesn't require people to know anything about the Hannibal Lecter series of movies/novels to understand what's going on. But after watching the movie, I've gotten a sudden urge to rush out and find all the Hannibal novels, and I am *ahem* acquiring the (sort of) movie sequel, Silence of the Lambs now. I still remember when I was like, maybe 6 or 7, one night my mom told me that we were going to watch Silence of the Lambs on TV2 and it's really interesting, and now I don't remember anything about it except that it had some guy skinning women and they were screaming. And that guy wasn't even Hannibal Lecter. Aih. At least now I can truly appreciate the horror.

I gotta give props to the actor playing Hannibal though. He's a 23 year old French dude named Gaspard Ulliel, and he used to be a model. *French model... oooOOOooo... XD*

OK, he's totally GORGEOUS, *blush* but I'm not biased 'cos of that... *g* his acting really is awesome. He's so creepy as Hannibal, especially his eyes... they're so cold and vengeful and remorseless. I mean, look, he can go from this...

Chicks dig me! Ha!

... to this, just like that.

I eat grown men for breakfast. Mmm...

I totally heart him. :P But I don't even know how to pronounce his name properly... swt =.=

OK, I can't resist. I have to post these pics of Gaspard on a Paris runway back in 2003... So yeng... *swoon*

Yeah, I'm done now. XD

brains are bad

Seriously, what am I doing here? I really shouldn't be blogging now, not with another 2500 word assignment staring accusingly at me. Oh well. I can't concentrate 'cos I'm worrying about too many things at once, and my PC has decided to sh!t itself, so I'm really bummed now.

I'm becoming more and more geram and confused with the whole KTAR/UTAR thing. My brains are battling it out all the time: one side says that going to KTAR is probably my only real chance of going to UK and fulfilling my dream of banana-ifying myself for good, but the other side says I should really get real and not burden my parents, therefore UTAR is the choice, etc etc. Sigh. At this point the realistic side of me is winning, and I am not happy. Agh, I need new input from anyone who hasn't said anything yet. *coughDenisehelpmeplscough*

Why does education have to be so difficult anyway? So many times I've wished that I was born some stupid dodo who couldn't make it into college. That way, people wouldn't always expect me to come up with totally fantastic and mind-blowingly awesome stuff, and I wouldn't have to worry about where to go to study. Working as a salesgirl somewhere would be so much more relaxing, and I wouldn't have delusions about going to live in UK/Australia/any country where most people are whiter, taller and fatter than me. I just feel so disillusioned living here, and I know many people just fire back that living with ang mohs could be worse because of discrimination, blahblahblah... but what's new? At least if I'm discriminated, there's actually a valid reason there, as opposed to being discriminated by my own fellow countrymen. *hides from ISA* And at least I could say I've tried.

I'm worried that I blog way faster than I do assignments. I really should stop now.

charity concert

My mum's been real busy raising funds for her school's construction stuff for months now, and part of it involved the "Nanyang Top 10 Charity Concert" (roughly translated =.=), where they get some local singers to do the concert for charity, and there's dinner too. So this was on Saturday, and my mum dragged me along to help her do some work before the show. Fun fun fun. I wasn't exactly highly excited at first, since I'd only vaguely heard of most of the singers, me being a total banana and all.

So anyway, when I got to PISA they were doing the sound check. I was just standing there minding my own business when a song starts, and this guy starts singing while walking down the stage and all around. When he passed by me, I was like, "Fuh~! Who is this guy, so yeng?" He looked abit familiar, but I really couldn't think who he was. And then, he kinda looked at me and saw me looking at him, and I sheepishly and quickly turned away. *paiseh* I had no idea what would happen later. *dramatic music*

Anyway, a while later I heard on a walkie talkie: *mumbleDanielmumble* And my head snapped towards the stage real quick, and saw the biggest star of the show, our totally holiao Malaysian Idol, Daniel Lee. He was so small and had a baseball cap pulled right over his eyes, so I had to search the stage for a while (there were other people horsing around onstage). Then he started singing, and I thought, maybe I've been too hard on him all this time, his singing is not that bad la. Then... he squiggled fantastically off-key when he tried to hit a high note in the chorus. Twice. omg swt. Well, at least he didn't do it again during his real performance later. After his sound check, he hung around a while to watch the other people sing, and he was standing like, 10 ft away from me. I had a strong urge to go over and ask to take a photo with him, but I was too chicken. Chicken!!! And I also thought my mum wouldn't be too happy if she saw me being all fangirly with Daniel, since I was supposed to be helping her do stuff. Aih.

So the show turned out to be pretty good... Here's some of the photos I took.

Dance to a song from Perhaps Love...

M-Girls (I really, really don't like the costumes =.=)...

Newz (they performed about 4 times in a night)...

Yang Wei Han (no idea what his English name is)...

Urm... some singers that I'd probably get their names mixed up...

Zchen! One of the few local singers I actually know and like. He wouldn't stand still long enough for me to take a really nice pic of him, and there were about 4 ft worth of crazy fangirls crowding around the stage in front of me...

And of course, Daniel Lee himself. I'm kinda proud of the first pic 'cos I managed to take a nice one of him smiling, even when my life was being threatened by all the shrieking fangirls who completely lost their heads when he came out. Ha.

And this guy...

... is Aric Ho (He Zhi Jian), the guy I was looking at just now. *g* The most interesting thing that happened to me that night involved him. So when he came out, I snapped a few pics of him and went back to my seat. Then he came down from the stage while still singing, making fangirls and photographers immediately zoom around him. He shook hands with a couple of them and started walking down the 'lorong' at which my dinner table was at. As he came nearer, I saw that there was a girl following him holding a basket with some roses, the kind with 1 or 2 stalks in a wrapper, and he stopped at random tables and would give a rose to a girl there or something. Well, he was at a table close to mine, and it looked like he was going to move away in another direction when he kinda saw me and came over instead. I think he recognised me from earlier. At that moment, I was like, OMGOMGOMG!!! So he came over, gave me a 2 roses bundle, shook my hand and smiled, and his eyes - *zapzapzap* 'pang tian'. Eeeeeee!! omgomgomg!! I was totally stunned, and also slightly blinded from the photographers furiously snapping away. Turned out there was this fangirl who was even luckier - Aric took her onstage and sang to her. omg... fuh~!! Gotta give him props for really knowing how to work the audience. He looks soooo much better in person than in photos, especially when he was all casual like during the sound check. *dreamy sigh*

And that's it. I could've had another chance to meet all of them after the show when they went for supper, but my mum wanted to go straight home and not move, so I didn't exactly have an excuse for popping in. :( I so wanted to meet Zchen. :( Oh well. I'm a PR person in training, right? Maybe strange things will happen in the future. heh heh.

Haven't been able to blog since last Saturday as my sis keeps hogging the computer. :( Wish I could get my own notebook, like, now.

This past week I've been feeling kinda stressed, worrying about assignments, society stuff, and my future education plans *sob*, and also feeling really, really tired all the time even though I'm already trying to get lots of sleep. I often get the feeling like an invisible hand is squeezing my heart and lungs and I can't breathe. Ack, I'm so melodramatic.

On the brighter side though, I did have some fun the past week. On Sunday, I went to some Chinese carnival thingy (which I blog in the previous post). Then on Tuesday, my TV-aholic side gets really happy. It's the premiere of Prison Break!!! Wooohoooo!! *g* It's this awesome show about this guy (Michael Scofield) whose brother's in a prison that he himself designed, and is framed for a crime he didn't do. So, he robs a bank and puts himself in the prison so he can get his lil' bro out. So cool. And the actor who plays Michael Scofield is Wentworth Miller, one of the newest faces of Gap. I see ginormous pictures of him whenever I go to Queensbay now. Heh.
He is TEH HOTNESS!! XP And he's like, a genius in Prison Break and in real life too. Aih... why can't more guys be like that in real life? :P

And then on Wednesday, Peng, Josephine and I went to the Traders Hotel to get squashed by people ask some burning questions about UTAR and all that. After getting sprayed by some bad news there, we had to go do something to cheer up... and that's what photo booths in Prangin Mall are for. After scaring passers-by with our initial hysterical laughing, we finally sobered up enough to take some photos (though we still cracked up after every single one of the 16 shots). *shakes head* So here's a sample of what we ended up with...

Yup yup, I had fun all right. *g* But now, it's time for me to feel depressed about assignments again...

i see lanterns

Last Sunday I went to some Chinese carnival thing at Pesta, where they had the... um... Chinese circus thing (dunno what to call it in English =.=) and also a lantern exhibition. This gets its own post 'cos I took many pics there. *g*

The show itself was just OK, I'd seen better ones before, but the lanterns were really cool. Those lanterns weren't the ordinary, pansy-sized ones you carry around while eating moon cakes - they were huge ornamental ones that came in all shapes and materials. There were many, many lanterns there, but here are some of the coolest ones:

Zodiac animals...

A very long dragon (it's mouth moves!)...

Another one made with thousands of CDs...

Yet another one made with porcelain spoons and plates (!)...

A Kuan Yin that spouts water...

... and a couple of big arches.

And besides all these lanterns, there were also people from China selling all sorts of souvenirs and stuff, and guess what... I got my portrait sketched! *heehee*
Heheheheh. My nose and mouth look kinda squashed, and my chin is a bit too long, but other than that it looks pretty much like me. Especially the hair. XD What do y'all think?
