internship = time warp

Well, the title pretty much describes how I feel after starting my 2nd week of my 3-month internship. It just feels like some kinda time warp, coz I keep doing the same things over and over again, feeling tired everyday, and going to sleep at the same time everyday. Jeez, if this is what it's like to be a grownup with a 9 to 5 (or in my case, 6) job like that, I now know why Peter Pan didn't wanna grow up... who could blame him, srsly. Just goes to show how unprepared I am for real life. I mean, its not that bad.... I didn't get chewed out by supervisors.... or have nasty colleagues... just a sorta...... dull-ish environment, with no noisy people. Aih. Oh, and freakin' cold too. I have now discovered that in order to preserve my body heat, I should actually stop walking around and sit still for extended periods of time instead. There goes my toilet trips. =.=

The bad news is.... I got no leng chais at work!!! wuhuhu.... Work has officially become more boring. After closer inspection, I noticed not every guy is old.... and saggy.... as I mentioned in my previous post, but neither are the young ones exactly near to looking like JT. tsktsktsk....

And now I finally understand why everybody lurves the weekends... Weekends are even more appreciated when you can't skip a day off work or have irregular working hours so you can sorta accumulate some sleeping debt and go hibernate one day. Oh god I feel like such a lao ee. ish....

So I 'celebrated' my first weekend off by going to the movies :D I watched Step Up 2, which, luckily, wasn't a disappointment (if you're into that sorta dance movies). Mich... if you haven't watched it at the time of this post... FASTER GO NOW!!! Hahaha.... srsly its awesome. The dances in the movie are, dare I say, even better than the original Step Up. Really. The only thing I think is missing from this movie is Channing Tatum, the lead guy in Step Up. His dance moves are way funkier than the lead guy in Step Up 2... unfortunately all he got was a fast but still hawt cameo at the beginning of the movie. Check out this clip of the final dance in the movie.... it has one of the chio-est dances I have ever seen. They freakin' dance in the streets while it rains!!

Aih.... I still wanna watch 27 Dresses and the Spiderwick Chronicles when they come out.... and maybe Red Line and Vantage Point... So sad that I have to wait for the weekends like other normal kesian people who have jobs if I wanna go to the cinema now :(

Yah, yah, I know everyone feels like that and some people like my poor UTAR friends are already used to having no life... but I'm new to the no-life club so I get to complain. Heh. Gah... I have to go to sleep now.... at 12 a.m.!! The last time I slept this early was probably when I was in.... F3?? GAH.......

the start of 'no life'

Tomorrow (well, later) I officially start my life as a lowly intern... such is the 'glamorous' life of a PR person in training =.= I think I was probably misguided in what I thought a career in PR was gonna be last time... hmm... wonder if I'm going down the wrong track further and further...

I'm so screwed coz I have to wake up in about.... 4 hours time and I still can't sleep. My whole sleep clock's been readjusted since the late nights during the exams last month. Ugh. and my achy-breaky heart feelings aren't helping... ugh ugh. is it a combination of an already grey heart combined with side effects of overexposure to VDay stuff...? I loathe that day with all of my guts and chemically straightened hair, coz every year on that day I'm reminded of what a sad case I am - almost 21 years on this earth now, looking like Gollum's long-lost sister and attracting nothing but weirdos.

Oh well... internship's the most pressing matter for now, I guess. I wish there would be a Justin Timberlake lookalike in my department, but that would be pushing it seeing as during my interview session, all the guys I saw were... old... and saggy... and old... and looked nothing like Justin... and old... sigh... wonder how boring my internship's gonna be? In a few hours I'll know... and I hope I live to blog about it. heh.

taggy tag

Well, well... CNY's about half over and I'm finally back in KL... sigh... *tries not to think of internship*

Haven't been online for about 3 weeks due to my lappy acting up, and I didn't really like using my home PC coz it's just so glaring after I've gotten used to an LCD screen now. I wonder how I ever got through my assignments in diploma years with that forsaken CRT screen... maybe that's why I'm as blind as a bat now...

So I come back from my "hiatus" from the online world to find that I've been tagged by Lydia. Um... OK... So here it is:

1. Link to your tagger and post these rules.
2. List EIGHT random facts about yourself.
3. Tag EIGHT people at the end of your post and list their names.
4. Let them know they've been tagged.

1. I have a really, really, really bad sense of direction. 'cept maybe in a shopping mall. XP
2. My favourite colour has been black since I was like, 10.
3. I'm currently attempting to learn (and failing spectacularly) to play DotA.
5. I have no.... er.... knowledge of gambling in any form. srsly. :(
6. When I was young, I thought that if you opened up a TV set, there would be little people jumping around inside. hehehe...
7. I often wish I had the power to read people's minds (blame it on Heroes =P).
8. A tag always ends with me. I don't tag people. hehe.
